An Organic Cactus and Llama Baby Girl Nursery

We are so excited to share baby Bellamy's darling nature-inspired nursery from her mama's gorgeous home design blog Dwell Beautiful. There are so many thoughtful elements and the cactus and llama theme is carried out throughout all the sweet details of this baby girl's nursery. Her mama posted this nursery mood board before she completed it which is such a wonderful idea for any mama planning their child's room.

We just adore this soft, organic baby girl nursery. Erica, the brilliant decorator behind this gorgeous space says, "I honestly would sleep in this room myself if the bed was big enough. It’s so rewarding to see a style board I made come to life and it’s even better than I pictured. It’s fun, feminine, sophisticated, and yet not too grown-up. This is a room that can grow with our daughter – no frilly babyish stuff to get rid of as she gets older, just cool pieces that can transition as she ages. I’m all about that! Now, let’s take a little tour about the room, shall we?"

Of course she needed a place to store all of those adorable baby clothes and blankets. She took a plain dresser from Amazon and dressed it up by replacing the knobs with cool brass and leather pulls. Her gallery wall is a fun combo of llama and cactus items, as well as some inspirational quote items, including some scripture, and girl-empowerment sayings.

To make diaper changes quicker, she installed a little hanging bin to store diapers as well as some diaper cream.

Next is the rocking chair corner. Bellamy's mama says, "Though at this point we kind of nurse or feed all over the house, I’m looking forward to when this chair can be used for stories and snuggles. Wayfair provided the awesome gold floor lamp and pink pouf – I kept the nursery color palette simple with neutrals, greens, pinks, and pops of gold."

Llamas are everywhere in this space! Llamas and cacti are quite popular right now, so it was easy to find cute pieces to fill this nursery! The pillow is from Imani Collective, which is a thoughtful organization that empowers women in Kenya.

One of Erica's favorite spots in this whole baby girl nursery is the reading corner. "I’m basically the biggest book nerd and reader on the planet, so I’m hoping to instill a love of books into my daughter from a young age. Plus picture books are just so much fun! I set up some floating shelves so that she can pick books to read when she’s old enough, as well as keep our favorites pretty displayed when we aren’t reading. I picked up a wooden dollhouse and filled that with books as well – it makes for a super adorable display and then when she grows out of board books, she can use it as an actual dollhouse to play in. And of course I couldn’t resist the mini eames chair! Too cute!"

Mama's other favorite part of this baby girl nursery is this amazing cactus wall. It's totally removable – the panels are basically giant vinyl stickers that you can move or take off with ease.

Wayfair also provided the beautiful Babyletto Hudson crib. We love how modern and simple it looks, and the fact that it’s low so that petite mamas can reach for baby with ease.

We love the laser cutout of her baby girl's name. It feels like a keepsake that Bellamy will have in her room for years to come. Erica ordered a wood cutout of her name from Etsy and spray painted it gold to fit the theme. It’s easily secured on the wall with some command strips on the back.

Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful and sacred space you created for your sweet daughter, Erica! And Congratulations on your daughter, Bellamy!
