A Sleep-Inducing Linen Spray

IMG_5463.jpeg

As an insomniac, I’ll try pretty much any natural remedy to help myself get a little bit more restful sleep. I did a lot of research to figure out the best blend of essential oils and let me tell you, there are a lot of different oils for sleep! It’s so interesting to learn about the power of plants and the ways they can trigger our own biological functions. The spray I decided to make contained a mix of oils for refreshing our bedding and for sleep, and it really works! I’ve been falling asleep significantly faster since we started using it and it lives on my bedside table now. I love the ritual of spraying it before bed and the beautiful bottle that it lives in.

We use Young Living essential oils because of their seed to seal guarantee. Anytime I can use a product that has a direct supply chain, I do so because there are so many ways that ingredients become contaminated when they pass through multiple hands. I know that Young Living grew the plants that created these oils which matters a lot to me. To order a starter kit, you can start here.

Recipe

It’s so simple to make essential oil blends. Pour the witch hazel in and then drop the oils in! I like to roll the bottle back and forth to blend everything together. Then spray away!

14 oz Thayer’s Witch Hazel

20 drops of lavender essential oil

10 drops of lemon essential oil

8 drops of cedarwood essential oil

12 drops of Dream Catcher essential oil
